Welcome at Casa do Prado

Feel at home at Casa do Prado, our recently renovated traditional Portuguese property in Tomar. At walking distance from the historical center while at the border of the urban area, it combines the best of a city and rural stay. The bedrooms with private bathrooms and the modern kitchen, dining and living areas offer comfortable accommodation. The large garden at the Nabão river invites to relaxation and sports, with plenty of corners to be enjoyed while sipping your favorite drink.
 

The space

Casa do Prado has two floors and a large garden. The four bedrooms on the upper floor have procket-spring beds, private bathrooms, natural ventilation and light. The thick stone walls protect against temperature changes outside, in warm or cold weather. The ground floor contains a modern fully-equipped kitchen as well as ample dining and living areas. The large windows open to the terrace and the inviting garden with access to the river, providing opportunity for relaxation under the shadow of trees or activity through sports such as volleyball or canoeing. A small swimming pool offers soothing on the hot summer days. The flowers, fruit trees and other objects in the garden might inspire you to paint, read a book, enjoy good company or simply have a drink in silence. There is plenty of space to do activities together, but also to have some private moments in between.  The house is very close to the historical center of Tomar, with many restaurants and cultural activities during the whole year. A 15 min walk (1200m) will take you to the core of all action.

    Really warm welcome from Silvia and Ruud. An accommodation above our expectations, with a 4-bedroom house upstairs and an exceptional common area on the ground floor (kitchen with more than complete equipment, dining area, sitting area, TV corner and games), all in a desired and beautiful decoration, not to mention the garden and the pool. Extra charge for a full and tasty breakfast. And in addition the advice for walks, visits, restaurants,... and the enriching exchanges with discreet owners but always concerned about our well-being. Everything is done so that the stay of the guests is as good as possible. Thanks again to both
    Just that the house is a bit far from the center of Tomar, 15 minutes walk along a road not very nice, but that's not important for everything else.

    A bit "out of the way" but after 10 minutes you are in the old town on foot. Great hosts who have put so much passion and ideas into the renovation of the property. Respect! If you look at the pictures previously - later in the small documentation folder, you can hardly believe that from a house that is so dilapidated can become such a beautiful and modern domicile. Very nice rooms, full of ideas for the combination of old and new. There is a clear overnight recommendation for Tomar visitors!!

    Welcome and humanity. The hosts are super attentive to our needs. It was also very clean. Beautiful kitchen and living room at our disposal and very comfortable upstairs bedrooms.

    Such a gorgeous place to stay and within walking distance of Tomar centre. The hosts, Silvia and Ruud were so friendly and helpful and the facilities are first class.

    A place where you want to come back again and again
    Everything was more than fine. We were a little unlucky with the weather, but this fact was more than compensated by communication with Sylvia and Ruud. We would like to come here again and again, especially in the summer.
